The Philips DTR220/05 is a compact and sleek Freeview box ideal for anyone who needs to add, or replace an existing digital set top box.
Capable of storing upto 48 channels, the DTR220/05 is certainly one of the more attractive Freeview boxes on the market today, and with a long history in digital set top box design and manufacture, Philips are one of the most reliable and biggest brands currently making the boxes.
At only 200mm wide, the DTR220 manages to pack in two scart outputs on the rear and a digital coaxial socket as well meaning you can connect it to a suitable amplifier in order to get Dolby Digital surround sound when available. The remote control is quite small and chunky, but easy to hold and well laid out with good spacing between each button making it easy to use. The box itself has a full seven day electronic programme guide (EPG), a PIN controlled parental lock, auto set up, and with a ‘Pulse Killer Chip’ to minimise the effects of any electrical interferences on the signal, the DTR220 seems to have every base covered, and makes a great buy.
What to consider before you buy the Philips DTR220/05
Some people may find the buttons on the remote a little too small, but there really isn’t much else to say against the Philips. The price may put some off, but for only a small additional where to buy tramadol to ship to florida amount of money, you get a quality Freeeview box from one of the bigger brands.
