When we first took a closer look at the Panasonic DMP-BD45 Blu-ray player a few months ago we were a little underwhelmed.
The main reason for this is that it is lacking BD-Live support so is not up to spec with the latest players. This caused a bit of a problem as whilst even with the legendary Panasonic build quality, it is uncompetitive in its feature set. Added to this, the RRP was around £150 and the online prices weren’t much less, so it was uncompetitive on price too.
Until now that is. We are just starting to see the prices for this player come down to under £100 – making it good value at last. If you can live without BD-Live support, then the Panasonic DMP-BD45 is finally a decent buy.
