Whereas Sony invented the Blu-ray format, it was Panasonic who were one of the first to truly embrace all the new developments in the format. Panasonic Blu-ray players were amongst the very first to be compatible with BD-LIVE (profile 2) and they always been amongst the leaders when it comes to introducing new features. They have also consistently performed very well indeed and have won numerous awards meaning that Panasonic Blu-ray players should always be on your shortlist.
What to consider before you buy…
Like many of the ‘big brand’ audio visual components, Panasonic players are rarely on the cheap side. That said though, the quality and features do normally make them worth paying for, and it quite rare that we’ve seen a ‘Panny’ that has performed badly.
Why buy a Panasonic Blu-ray Player?
They have always been renowned for the quality of their equipment and the range of Panasonic Blu-ray players is no different. The brand have also produced some of the best designed players around with the familiar Panasonic styling being applied so they match perfectly with their popular televisions. With their slightly conservative looks, the styling is the first indicator that they are built to last. Whilst it may be a downside to some, it does show that Panasonic are keen on their players lasting the distance.
