Logitech Harmony Adapter for PlayStation 3Those of you who use the Playstation 3 as a Blu-ray player have either had to stick with using the control pad to control playback, which is awkward to say the least, or the official PlayStation 3 Blu-ray remote control.

If you wanted to use one of the more useful universal remote controls like the Logitech Harmony One or the Harmony 700, you weren’t able to because the PlayStation uses a Bluetooth signal to send the remote signal rather than the conventional infrared or RF.

Logitech have now addressed this issue with the recent launch of the Logitech Harmony Adapter for PlayStation 3 meaning you can use your existing Harmony remote, or any of the latest ones to control your devices. The adapter is a neat and attractive solution and uses AC power and the Bluetooth signal so you don’t lose any USB ports.

If you have any other devices, and want, or need to cut down on the amount of remotes you have to use, then a universal remote like the Logitech Harmony range is just what you need, and if you have a PS3 as well, then this adapter is a must.
