The LG HT805PH is DVD based home cinema system that is firmly aimed at those of us who want to enjoy an enhanced home cinema experience without all the additional expense that more feature filled systems can bring.
This particular model is a full 5.1 system with two compact rear speakers, a centre and subwoofer, and the very welcome two front tallboy speakers. The taller speakers of the LG HT805PH have the advantage over other systems in that the audio is more likely to be at the correct height for your ears when you’re sat down, so should give you a more direct and improved range of audio. Tall-boy speakers are often easier to position and do not require any additional stands or brackets either. All five speakers are simply and elegantly styled and are sure to blend in with most home decors.
The main DVD/amplifier unit of the LG HT805PH also benefits from this styling and rather like the Panasonic SC-PT480, is neat enough to position with most brands of televisions. The system has a reasonable amount of connection options with an HDMI and Component output and an optical audio input for connecting your Sky box or games console. The amplifier unit has a total power output of a very respectable 850W which means the system is ideal for medium to larger sized rooms.
Playback on the LG HT805PH is well catered for with 1080p upscaling of your DVD discs to bring them near HD quality. You can also play movies, music and photos off your USB device by connecting it to the system, and also rip CD’s onto the USB device without needing to do it on your computer. Like many of LG’s order ativan online usa systems, the HT805PH will also play DivX files.

If you could do without the tall-boy speakers but would like an ARC compatible HDMI connection instead, consider the similarly priced Panasonic SC-PT480.
Why you should buy the LG HT805PH DVD Home Cinema System

The 806 is the later model and there are no major differences apart from the design – some slight tweaks here and there but nothing to write home about. Personally I’d choose the 806!
